OutboundEngine is thrilled to announce today that we’ve closed $11M in Series B funding from Silverton Partners, Noro-Moseley Partners, Harmony Partners, Altos Ventures and Capital Factory. We’re excited to have a vote of confidence from both existing and new investors, and that we get to partner with some of the best venture capital firms in the world.
Two Years of Amazing Growth
In the past two years, we’ve built an innovative marketing automation platform, added over 4,500 happy customers and proven that small businesses and independent professionals have a huge appetite for done-for-you marketing solutions. The new funding represents both a validation of the work we’ve done so far, and a challenge to take it even further.
We’ve also grown to over 100 employees in our Austin, Texas office, and we don’t plan to stop there. We’re proud to call this city home and are excited to continue expanding our team and being involved in the Austin community.
And More to Come
So, the big question: how will we spend $11M? First and foremost, we need to continue growing our team, and we need a place to put all of those people, so hiring and expanding our office will be an immediate focus. Our customers are thrilled to not have to worry about handling their marketing and are always asking for more, so targeted product development is on our roadmap as well. We’ll also look for new markets that can benefit from our product (we get requests every day), pursue partnerships, and maybe throw in a few surprises for good measure.
Business owners have spoken: they’ll tackle marketing if they have to, but they’d prefer to focus on what they do best: running their businesses and serving their customers. We’re looking forward to continuing to democratize marketing automation so all kinds of businesses can have access to the kind of content marketing solutions that until recently a much larger investment of time and money. The extra cash in the bank will help us do more, faster and better.
