Austin American-Statesman Names OutboundEngine a 2014 Top Workplace

Andrew Szatan
November 17, 2014

It’s official: our hometown newspaper, the Austin American-Statesman, has named OutboundEngine one of Austin’s top workplaces of 2014! We’ve worked hard to create a company that people want to be a part of, and we’re honored that the Statesman took notice. Thanks to all of the Enginites who have helped make OutboundEngine not only one of Austin’s fastest-growing startups, but an awesome place to come work every day.

In honor of the team’s hard work and this awesome recognition from the Statesman, let’s take a look back at some of the fun things we’ve done over the last several months. Look like the kind of place you’d like to work? We’re hiring!

Halloween Costume Contest

The team had a great time dressing up for Halloween, and some lucky winners took home cash prizes for their creative costumes!

Startup Crawl Party

OutboundEngine opened the office doors to visitors during the annual Startup Crawl, one of the highlights of Austin Startup Week. With a generous sponsorship from Deep Eddy Vodka and a lot of effort from our Culture Committee, we think we put on a pretty fun party.

September Happy Hour

Being located on 6th Street in Austin, we’re a stone’s throw from lots of great bars. But for our September happy hour, we ventured a whole six blocks away to the Ginger Man for a change of scenery. We just barely avoided getting caught in a torrential downpour and enjoyed an extended happy hour rained in at the bar.

CANville

OutboundEngine participated in the annual CANville contest, where teams compete to collect can donations and build structures out of them. We spent a Saturday building a replica of the famous Franklin Barbecue sign that definitely did not entirely collapse at one point 🙂 All cans were donated to the Capital Area Food Bank.
